High BAC DUI Defense in Seattle
High-BAC DUI Defense Draws on Decades of Trial Experience
Washington law sets the per se DUI threshold at a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 within two hours of driving. A result of 0.15 or higher falls into a more serious penalty category. Although people sometimes search for an “extreme DUI,” Washington doesn’t use that term as the statutory name of the offense.
Blair Kim Moeller, PLLC has assisted clients in Seattle, King County, and across Washington State since 1996. Attorney Mark Blair is a former prosecutor with more than 30 years of trial experience, including service in King County and other Washington counties. He has handled more than 15,000 cases, and our team brings more than 70 years of combined experience in criminal defense and family law.
If a chemical test after your arrest reported a result at or above 0.15, call (888) 478-4001 to discuss the charge and any deadlines that may apply.
A High Test Result Still Requires Close Evidence Review
A high result is important evidence, but it doesn’t bypass the criminal court process or eliminate questions about how the evidence was obtained. Our review can address the traffic stop, field sobriety testing, arrest procedures, and breath or blood testing. We also examine the records the prosecution may use to establish the timing and accuracy of the reported result.
Breath and blood evidence depends on collection, handling, testing procedures, and supporting documentation. Mark Blair’s prosecutorial background informs our assessment of how the state builds and presents DUI cases. We evaluate each case on its own facts rather than treating the reported number as the entire case.
Our boutique structure keeps us closely involved in complex, high-stakes criminal matters. We consider the alleged driving conduct, prior DUI offenses, testing issues, and procedural history when developing a defense strategy.
Act Quickly on Court & Licensing Deadlines
A DUI arrest can lead to criminal proceedings and a separate Department of Licensing process. An early review can identify available evidence, approaching deadlines, and the next procedural steps. We offer virtual consultations to DUI clients throughout the Seattle area and across Washington State.
Korean-language services are available. Send basic arrest and testing information through our contact form to learn about consultation options.
